On paper, the Samsung G800 is technically a very impressive phone. Making use of technology like wireless Bluetooth A2DP, 3G HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access) and a 5 megapixel camera with Xenon flash the G800 sounds like the perfect phone to own. Add to that the very sexy look of the phone in both silver and sleek black and you may be tempted to go out and get one without reading any further. The good news is that the g800 certainly lives up to its specs and is recommended to anyone thinking of upgrading.
What the G800 does it does very well. It has a phone book capacity of 1000 entries which is perfect as a business phone or just if you’ve got a lot of friends. It has 160mb of internal memory to cope with all those numbers with the added option of adding in a MicroSD memory card up to 2 GB capacity. It has a music player and fm radio which produce excellent sound quality on the move. All the usual extras are built in such as alarm clock, calculator and vibration facility. In fact the only thing which seems to have been left out are any games on the phone when you buy it but a quick visit to Samsungs website and a short download later and that is sorted.
The phones menu system is extremely easy to use but it that can also be off putting as it can sometimes feel a little childlike in its execution. Also, the flash for the camera isn’t the best you are ever going to come across and can result in dark pictures but apart from this the Samsung G800 is a superb phone and is highly recommended.
