A Closer Look at Samsung G800

The Samsung G800 really looks classy and elegant with its metal-like finish. It is a bit on the large side though with its 101 x 51.1 x 18.8 mm size. As a mobile phone it is quite chubby however as a digicam…it is compact and very handy.
The earpiece is found at the center of the front panel. The secondary video-call camera is placed on the right of the speaker grill. This camera can be used for taking pictures in the VGA resolution. The navigation pad is also located on the front panel. The call key, the clear key and the end key are located above the lower rim of the slider.
If you want to send an SMS you have to move the slider to reveal the keys. The large soft touch keys makes for easy typing. This feature will surely be appreciated by teenagers or by other people who are avid texters. You can imagine how their fingers would fly over the key pad.
Under the keypad you will find the microphone pinhole. The loudspeaker occupies the top portion of the mobile phone. The USB port and the slot for the microSD memory card are on the left side of the Samsung G800. Also on this side is the slightly projected eyelet. It is provided if you want to attach a wrist or neck strap.
The right side of the mobile phone is for the camera – the camera key and the zoom rocker. The zoom rockers just like on any other mobile phone doubles up as the volume controller. Sliding up the back cover of the phone, you will find the 5.0 megapixel camera lens beside the Xenon flash.
You will find the SIM card slot if you open the battery cover. Notice that there is no lock mechanism just like in other mobile phones. This is because the cover fits perfectly and no lock is needed.
